Question 157358: My daughter has 2 homework problems that she asked for my help on but I am stumped. The directions are to add 3 terms to each pattern and then write an algebraic expression that describes the pattern. She can add the terms to the pattern (see the last 3 numbers in each line below) but we are stumped on the expression that goes with it.
Number 1 - 1, 8, 27, 64, 125, 216, 343
Number 2 - 2, 5, 14, 41, 122, 365, 1094

Question 167656: In a certain triangle the measure of one angle is double the measure of a second angle, but is five degress less than the measure of the third angle. If the sum of the measures of the 3 interior angles is always 180 form an algebraic equation to express the problem?
I came up with a+2a-5=180, but this just doesn't seem right to me, could you please help? Thank you.
