2(4 - 2r) = -2(r + 5)
First distribute 2 on both sides;
8-4r=-2r-10
Now subtract 8 and add 2r to each side;
8-4r-8+2r=-2r-10-8+2r
that cancels out the 8 on the right side and 2r on the left, now we have r on one side;
-4r+2r=-10-8
-2r=-18
divide -2 on both sides;
%28-2r%29%2F-2=-18%2F-2
r=9
