FIRST YOU MULTIPLY THE TERMS THUS;
4(2X+Y)=8X+4Y
2(2X+Y)=4X+2Y NOW SUBTRACT THE SECOND TERM FROM THE FIRST TERM
8X-4Y-(4X+2Y)
8X-4X-4Y+2Y
4X-2Y NOW REDUCE BY DIVIDING BY 2.
2(2X-Y) ANSWER.
