Use the ac test to determine if the following trinomial can be factored. If it can be factored, find the values of m and n. 3x^2+11x-4

AC = 3*-4 = -12
b = 11

Think of two numbers whose product is -12 and whose sum is 11
---------------
The numbers are -12 and +1
-----------------
Rewrite the problem, as follows: 3x^2+12x-x-4
Factor the 1st two and the last two terms separaely:
3x(x+4)-(x+4)
Factor again:
(x+4)(3x-1)
