Question 831207: what is the altitude of a triangle that has an area of 88 square meters and base of 11 meters ?
Answer by Diana541(24) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The altitude would be 16.
The formula for area is A=1/2bh and you're basically looking for h.
You would plug in the number for A and b.
88 = 1/2 11 h
First, multiply 88 by two.
176 = 11h
Second, divide by 11
16 = h
