Answer by LinnW(1048)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
We want two numbers with product 6 and sum 5
1,6 won't work since sum is 7
2,3 will work since sum is 5
I assume we want to work x2 + 5x + 6 = 0
(x+2)(x+3) = 0
x = -2 or x = -3
