Question 666173: 2(9n-1)+7(n+6)=-60
(include te steps to find the answer; I can't seem to get it right)
Answer by Shana-D77(132) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2(9n-1)+7(n+6)=-60
18n - 2 + 7(n + 6) = -60 (distributed the 2)
18n - 2 + 7n + 42 = -60 (distrubuted the 7)
*I could have done those two above steps in one step*
25n - 2 + 42 = -60 (combined the like terms 18n and 7n)
25n + 40 = -60 (combined the like terms -2 and 42)
*I could have done those two above steps in one step*
25n = -100 (subtracted 40 from both sides)
n = -4 (divided both sides by 25)
