Question 56786: what is the answer to: 3a squared + 21a + 30
Answer by Nate(3500) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3a^2 + 21a + 30 I will assume equals zero.
3a^2 + 21a + 30 = 0
3a^2 + 21a = -30
a^2 + 7a = -10
(a + 7/2)^2 = 49/4 - 40/4 = 9/4
a + 7/2 = +- 3/2
a = -7/2 +- 3/2
a = -5 or a = -2
