Best way to show a solution is with a number line with the zeros or roots on it:
<...-....-14.....+....-10.....-....8....+.....>
Since expression>0, only positive intervals are the solution.
solution: (-14,-10) U (8,∞)
..
Explanation for number line:
It can easily be seen that for x>8, the interval (8,∞) will be>0
Moving to the left, the sign of intervals will switch every time we go thru a zero that is of odd multiplicity like 1, 3, 5, etc. All zeros of given problem are of multiplicity 1, hence the switch in signs. You can determine the sign of the intervals with the use of a chart, but this method I used is much simpler.
