Question 381129: 1/3s + 7/9 = 4/3s
(-3/1s)+ 1/3s + 7/9= 4/3s -(3/1s)
7/9= 1/3s multiply both sides by 3/1
7/3=s
This is what I got for my answer, but when I check it, the solution doesn't add up. Where am I going wrong?

Answer by rfer(16322)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1/3s+7/9=4/3s
subtract 1/3s from both sides
7/9=4/3s-1/3s
7/9=3/3s
7/9=s
don't invert to subtract
invert only to divide
your working to hard
