this is converting feet per second into miles per hour

the measurement units cancel just like numbers in the fractions

44 divided by 5280 , then multiplied by 3600

the units will be ___ mi/h

Evaluate 44 ft/s * 1 mi/5,280 ft *3600 s/h. be sure to use the proper units.
= 44*3600/5280 = 30 ft * mi * sec/(sec * ft * hr)
= 30 mi/hr
