Question 301107: Please help me simplify this problem. I just don't understand. -5n+3(6+7n)Thank you so very much for this much needed help. I really appreciate it!!!
Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-5n+3(6+7n)
First you have to open the brackets and expand the term
-5n + 3*6+3*7n
-5n+18+21n
Add the similar terms -5n & 21n
since one term is negative and the other term is positive you have to subtract the co-efficients of the terms and put the sign of the bigger number in the result
-5n +21n +18
+16n+18
