Question 29561: (2+3)+5=
7(3x-1)-5=
Answer by sdmmadam@yahoo.com(530) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(2+3)+5=7(3x-1)-5
5+5 =(21x-7)-5
10 =21x-7-5
10 = 21x-12
10+12 = 21x (grouping like terms and chnging sign while changing side)
22=21x
That is 21x= 22
Therefore x = 22/21 = 1 and (1/21)
Verification can be done orally:
RHS =7(3x-1)-5
= 7X[3X(22/21)-1]-5
=7X(22/7-1)-5
=[7X(22-7)/7] - 5
=7X(15)/7 -5
=15-5
=10
=RHS
