Question 250137: -12=2+5x+2x
Answer by richwmiller(17219)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-12=2+5x+2x
we want to get the variables(x's) on one side and the constants (numbers on the other)
but first we combine like terms
so we add 5x and 2x
then we move the 2 to the other side by subtracting 2 from both sides
and we have -14=7x
now we still have a constant on the side with the variable x
so we divide both sides by 7 and we are finished
