Question 244788: can you help me simplify
1/9-1/x(/)9-x/9
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
simplify
1/9-1/x(/)9-x/9
-----------
= [(1/9)-(1/x)] / [9 - (x/9)]
---
= [(x-9)/9x] / [(81-x)/9]
===
Invert and multiply:
===
= [(x-9)/9x] * [9/(81-x)]
---
Cancel the common factor of "9" to get:
= [(x-9)/x] * [1/(81-x)]
---
= (x-9)/[x(81-x)]
