Question 15058: CAN SOMEONE FIND The answer to 6y-(3y+9)=17
Answer by rapaljer(4671) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First remove the parentheses. Don't forget the negative sign on the 9:
6y-(3y+9)=17
6y - 3y - 9 = 17
3y - 9 = 17
Next add + 9 to each side:
3y- 9 + 9 = 17 + 9
3y = 26
Divide both sides by 26.
It doesn't come out even, but then life doesn't always come out even, does it!
