(5p-20)/8=2 now cross multiply
5p-20=2*8
5p-20=16
5p=16+20
5p=36
p=36/5 answer.
proof
(5/8)(36/5-4)=2
(5/8)(36-20)/5=2
(5/8)(16/5)=2
80/40=2
2=2
