Question 1121098: 2^x=8x. solve for x

Answer by Edwin McCravy(20060)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
When an equation has a variable appearing both in an exponent and also not in
an exponent, there is no algebraic method for solving. The solution, if any,
can only be approximated by iterative means, such as is used by graphing
calculators.

Using a TI-84, I find that x approximately equals 0.1374996288
