That negative in the exponent means "invert".
So negative-exponent factors that are in the
numerator move to the denominator
and negative-exponent factors that are in the
denominator move to the numerator:
Your Problem:
1/x^-4 = x^4
=====================



Also could you tell me if this problem is right:
5^-3*5^7=625
-------------
Your Problem:
5^-3*5^7
Since the bases are the same,add the exponents to get:
=5^4
Simplify
= 625
=============
