Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Two trucks are traveling in the same direction, one going twice as fast as the other. At the end of 6 hours they are 204 miles apart. How fast is each travelling?
======
Faster truck distance:: 6*(2x) = 12x miles
Slower truck distance:: 6*x = 6x miles
-----
Equation:
12x - 6x = 204
6x = 204
x = 34 mph (slower truck rate)
2x = 68 mph (faster truck rate)
