Answer by nerdybill(7384) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve
6 - x - x^2 = 0
reordering terms:
-x^2 - x + 6 = 0
multiplying both sides by -1:
x^2 + x - 6 = 0
factoring the left side:
(x+3)(x-2) = 0
x = {-3, 2}
