About nutshellmath: We provide great video lessons based on popular school textbooks.

This movie lesson explains the technique of solving a linear equation with one unknown variable. The teacher starts from the equation containing the variable and constants in both sides of the equation. The steps to get the solution are: 1) add or subtract the variable term to (from) both sides of the equation to eliminate variable in one side; 2) add or subtract the constant term to (from) both sides of the equation to eliminate the constant term in the other side of the equation; 3) to divide the obtained equation by the coefficient at the variable; 4) to check the solution. Note that there is the similar lesson How to solve a linear equation in the written form in this module.

This multimedia lesson is provided by NutshellMath, where hundreds of lessons, solutions and tips are provided for the most popular math textbooks used in the US.
