Question 223186: The question was: 1/3w + 6 = -2
What I did was: subtracted 6 from both sides and got a negative 8 (-8).
Then, I did the inverse of 1/3 (divided one over three by one over three, and it cancels itself out?), then one over thee divided by negative 8. So I was left with...
1/3 * -1/8 = -1/24
IS THIS CORRECT? If not, please help me with where I made my mistake?? Thanks so much!!! (:
