Question 999607: ``solve each system of equations by the substitution method
X=(5/6)y-2
12x-5y=-9

We substitute the x from the first equation into the second and get
x=(5/6)y-2
12x-5y=-9
and
12[(5/6)y - 2] - 5y = -9
10y - 24 - 5y = -9
5y - 24 = -9
5y = 15
y = 3
x = (5/6)(3) - 2
x = (5/2) - 2
x = 1/2
