I need to factor 25i^2-40i+16.
I know that the answer is -9-40i.
But I am trying to figure out exactly HOW that factoring works.
(I am going to be tested on this, and I would really like to know how to factor it, rather than have to rely on a calculator).
So I guess the straightforward question here is:
"How do I factor 25i^2-40i+16 to get -9-40i?"
