Question 98459: If p = –4 and q = 0, evaluate 3p2 – 4q. *The 2 in 3p2 is sub 2*
I attempted this way:
3(-4)sub2-4(0)
-12sub2-0
144
Is this correct?

Answer by edjones(8007)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If you mean 3(-4)^2 or the answer is you are correct.
Everybody else in the world says "3 times p squared - 4 times q"
Or, you can type it in either of the ways I did on the 1st line and you will get more answers to your questions.
No more "sub 2" talk!
