First of all, I'm not exactly sure what the problem is.
I am assuming that it's:

and not
1%2B%28i%2F2%29-i
%281%2Bi%29%2F%282-i%29 multiply both numerator and denominator by %282%2Bi%29 the conjugate of %282-i%29. This will get rid of the radical in the denominator:
%28%281%2Bi%29%282%2Bi%29%29%2F%28%282-i%29%282%2Bi%29%29 Multiply out using the FOIL(first, outer, inner, last) crutch
%282%2Bi%2B2i%2Bi%5E2%29%2F%284%2B2i-2i-i%5E2%29 combine like terms in numerator and denominator
(note:i%5E2=-1)
