First of all, I'm not exactly sure what the problem is.
I am assuming that it's:

multiply both numerator and denominator by the conjugate of . This will get rid of the radical in the denominator:
Multiply out using the FOIL(first, outer, inner, last) crutch
combine like terms in numerator and denominator
