Take 1/2 of the co-efficient of x:
(Remember this)
Square it:

Add to both sides of the original equation:

Using the number you remembered above, write the left side as a square:
The sign is the parenthesis is the same as the sign of the co-efficient of x in the original equation (+(5/6)x so the sign is +)

the discriminant must be equal to for perfect square polynomials
so, add a variable for the constant , then get a formula for the discriminant , then determine the value of to make it










or simple, take half of the x-coefficient to get , then
square to get and that is your constant
