Question 97462: A=2rh+2r^2; solve for h
This is how I worked it out.
A=2rh+2r^2
A-2r^2=2rh+2r^2-2r^2
A-2r^2=2rh
A-2r^2/2r=2rh/2r
A-r=h

Answer by edjones(8007)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2rh+2r^2=A; solve for h
subtract 2r^2 from each side. 2rh=A-2r^2
divide 2r into each side.
.
you did well.
Your only mistake was your last step.
if you divide 2r into you have to divide into both A and -2r^2 and you get which is equivalent to my answer.
