Question 96471: 12. 6(5g + 2) =30g?
Can someone help with this equation?

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
6(5g + 2) =30g
Divide both sides by 6 to get:
5g+2 = 5g
Subtract 5g from both sides to get:
2=0
----------
Note: That is a contrdiction that arose
because I assumed the "g" on the left
was the same as the "g" on the right.
They are not; the equation is said to be
"inconsistent". It has no solution.
