Question 939399: I've got the following equation
x + 300 * 2^(x/7.0) = 332.0 (this should be floored)
And I've been trying to figure out how to solve for x

Answer by ankor@dixie-net.com(22740)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x + 300 * 2^(x/7.0) = 332.0
I think you will have to use a graphing calc to find x here
Enter y: x + 300(2^(x/7)) - 332
Looks like this

x has to be very close to 1
Check it when x = 1 on your calc
1 + 300(2^(1/7)) = 332.226, is that close enough?
:
My calc says x = .99328586
