Question 932368: Please show how to factor by grouping for x^2-6x+5x-30
Answer by richard1234(7193)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x^2 - 6x factors to x(x-6)
5x-30 factors to 5(x-6)

Expression equals x(x-6) + 5(x-6) = (x+5)(x-6)

If you want to check this is correct, multiply (x+5)(x-6) and you will get x^2 - 6x + 5x - 30.
