Question 929343: what is the slope and y intercept of y = 3.5x
Answer by ewatrrr(24785)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the standard slope-intercept form for an equation of a line is
where m is the slope and b the y-intercept.
......
y = 3.5x
Per standard form...this gives...

.....
slope = 3.5
y-intercept is 0
......
re TY
putting y = 3.5x into the standard form, it shows m = 3.5
and as there is no constant attached to y = 3.5x ..it is therefore ZERO
y = 3.5x + 0 is the same as y = 2.5x and therefore the y-intercept = 0
