Question? How to ge rid of x-105 without multiplying both sides by 1/x-105. I would appreciate any assistance. Thanks.

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
80,000X = 2,400,000 divided by X-105
Divide both sides by 80000 to get:
x = 30/(x-105)
x^2-105x-30=0
x = [105+-sqrt(105^2-4*-30)]/2
x = [105 +- 105.5698...]/2
x = 105.2849... or x = -0.284941...
Cheers,
Stan H.
