Put parentheses around every term, so you can
multiply through:



The LCD of the denominators is 12, so multiply
every term by 12:



The 6 cancels into the 12 in the first term,
The 2 cancels into the 12 in the second term
The third term becomes just 3
On the right the first term becomes 24x
On the right the last term becomes -84



Now you can solve that and get
