please help me i am stuck..........
IF W AND Y ARE POSITIVE NUMBERS ,W^2-2W=0,AND 2Y^2-Y=0 THEN W/Y=
w^2 - 2w = 0
w^2 - 2w + 1 = 1
(w - 1)^2 = 1
w - 1 = +-1
w = +-1 + 1
w = 2 or w = 0
2y^2 - y = 0
y(2y -1) = 0
y = 0 or 2y = 1
y = 0 or y = 1/2
w/y = 2/0 is an infinite result, so toss that out
w/y = 2/(1/2) = 1
w/y = 0/0 is not determinable, so toss that out
w/y = 0/(1/2) = 0
so w/y is either 1 or 0
