In my homework, I'm being asked to simplify the following question
n^3-4n^2+3n-12 over (or divided by) n^2-8n+16

simplify the following question
(n^3-4n^2+3n-12) / (n^2-8n+16)
You can see the denominator factors as (n-4)^2
so use synthetic division to divide the numerator by n-4.
You will get the follow:
=[(n-4)(n^2+3)]/[(n-4)^2]

=[n^2+3]/[n-4]
