Please help me solve this equation.
2x + 13 = -5
Subtract 13 from each side of the equation.
2x + 13 - 13 = -5 - 13
Combine like terms:
13 - 13 = 0
-5 - 13 = -18
2x = -18
Divide each side by 2
2x/2 = -18/2
x = -9
