Factor to get:
3x(x+3)=0
Since the product is zero one of these factors must be zero:
x=0 or x=-3

What are the solutions for x?

3x=0 or x+3=0
3x/3=0/3 or x+3-3=0-3
x=0 or x=-3
:
Proof:
if x=0
3(0)^2=-9(0)
0=0 True
if x=-3
3(-3)^2=-9(-3)
3(9)=-9(-3)
27=27 True
