Hi,
What is the equation of the line that passes through (-3, -1) and has a slope of 3/5?
y +1 = (3/5)(x+3) |point-slope form,
solving for y
y +1 = (3/5)x + 9/5
|slope-intercept form
the standard slope-intercept form for an equation of a line is
where m is the slope and b the y-intercept.
