If you chose substitution methis....that will proceed like this...

�8x + 2y = 8------------------------(1)

y = 4 + 4x -------------------------(2)

In (2) we have value of y = 4 + 4x

Substitute this value in (1)

==> �8x + 2(4 + 4x ) = 8

==> -8x + 2 * 4 + 2 * 4x = 8

==> -8x + 8 + 8x = 8

==> -8x + 8x + 8 = 8

==> 0 + 8 = 8
that is you cant find the value of x here.....
