3x-5(3x-7) = 2(x+9)+45
Thank you for your help

Answer by tutorcecilia(2152)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3x-5(3x-7) = 2(x+9)+45 [use the order of operations to simplify (PEMDAS)]
3x-15x+35=2x+18+45 [use the distributive property to multiply]
-12x+35=2x+63 [combine like-terms]
-12x+35-35=2x+63-35 [isolate the x=term]
-12x=2x+28
-12x-2x=2x-2x+28
-14x=28
-14x/-14=28/-14
x=-2
.
check by plugging (x=-2) back into the original equation and solve
