Question 791358: I really need some help on the this problem. I have no idea how to solve it. Here it is: ***NOTE*** The ENTIRE second half of the equation is a FRACTION. It is the entire thing not just the -6 and 13. It is including the 2y also in the fraction. So the numerator would be -2y-(-6) and the denominator would just be 13. Please read this carefully so you do not change the problem. Thank you for your help because I have a BIG unit test tomorrow and need some help. Thanks!
2= -2y-(-6) / 13

If you put parentheses around your quantities, then there is never any ambiguity about what your plain text rendering really means.

I surmise you want: 2 = (-2y - (-6))/13 which probably looks like

Remove the parentheses around the -6:

Then multiply both sides by 13, add -6 to both sides, and finally multiply by
