Answer by checkley75(3666) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
6Y-3Y+2=-16 COMBINE THE Y TERMS.
3Y+2=-16 NOW SUBTRACT -2 FROM EACH SIDE.
3Y+(2-2)=(-16-2)
3Y+0=-18
NOW DIVIDE BOTH SIDES BY 3.
3Y/3=-18/3
Y=-6 ANSWER.
