Rearrange equation to isolate y, (y=)
:

multiply both sides by (y-3)
3y + 2 = x(y-3)
3y + 2 = xy - 3x
3y -xy = - 3x - 2
Factor out y
y(3-x) = -3x - 2
Divide both sides by (3-x)
y = ; close to what you got
You can get rid of all those negatives, mult by -1/-1
