Subtract 3 times 1st from 3rd:::

Add 4 times 2nd to 3rd:::
X+y+2z=4
0+y-z = 0
0+0-9z= -9

Solve 3rd for "z":
z = 1

Solve 2nd for "y":
y-1 = 0
y = 1
-------------------
Solve 1st for "x":
x + y + 2z = 4
x + 1 + 2 = 4
x = 1
