8[(3/4)(2x - 1) = (5/8)(9x - 8)] {multiplied entire equation by least common denominator, 8, to eliminate fractions}
6(2x - 1) = 5(9x - 8) {multiplied each term by 8}
12x - 6 = 45x - 40 {used distributive property}
-6 = 33x - 40 {subtracted 12x from each side}
33x = 34 {added 40 to each side}
x = 34/33 {divided each side by 33}
