4t^4 - 13t^2 - 12 = 0
The expression can be factored as (4t^2+3)(t^2-4) = 0
This gives t^2-4 = 0 and 4t^2+3 = 0
t^2 = 4 -> t = 2 and -2
t^2 = -3/4 -> t = sqrt(-3/4) and -sqrt(-3/4) = sqrt(3/4)i and -sqrt(3/4)i

u^2=t^4

4u^2-13u-12=0
(u-4)(4u+3)=0
