Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve for x
a) x(x-2)(x+5) = 0
----
Since the product is zero, one of those factors must be zero.
x = 0
or
x-2 = 0
or
x+5 = 0
So:::::
x = 0
or x = 2
or x = -5
